Default How reliable are fox body Stangs?

Hi there,
I have an 06 Mustang GT and since I still got the warranty on it I'm not sure if I wanna touch it. Instead I was thinking about getting a fox body stang (87-93) and modify it any way I want to without having to worry about a warranty for what gets voided if I do this or that. My only concern is if I get one with a really high mileage (170k and up) will I spend 2 days out of 4 modifying it or are they not that bad at all? How often do you guys with older ones have to take care of repairs?

my car has had 137k city miles, never has had a rebuild or major overhaul. Im not really a fan of Ford per se, but to me my 5.0 is just as reliable as my 350sbc. the biggest problem is rust.

140,000 with the n2o and no problems the cars are well built and simple. the trannys hold up well, and factory accessories tend to be built well also. a high milage 5.0 is probably going to be one of the best cars you can find used..... i know from experience..... my 15,000 mile srt4 was a bigger piece of crap than my 240,000 celica, and my 5.0 is the best i have bought.

my 94 has 203k miles on it, and runs great. Ran mid 14's at 94 mph at the track acouple months ago. Not bad for an extremely high mileage stocker.

my car has over 223K on the odometer, with a 3.8 v6 that is now sitting under a tarp[8D] the 5.0 motor I have has about 70-80 K on it...

the worst rust on my car is the driver's door and she is a t-top
