Default A/C question... kinda

ok so im rebuilding my wreck and it was a front end wreck so alot of stuff got messed up.... which brings me to my current problem, condenser supports. i cant find them anywhere not junk yards not the internet and ford doesnt make them anymore..any ideas on where i might be able to get these? and i know that your going to say just get rid of the a/c but hey its arizona and its hot here

Beat the bottom condenser supports out with a big hammer. Then get a block of rubber and and cut out a groove in it for the bottom of the condenser to sit in. For the top, they bolt in, if you dont have them, you can make some out of a little bit of flat bar, and some more rubber. The condenser isnt heavy at all, so it doesn't need to be held on to like big time... as long as its fairly secure, you'll be fine - THe conencting lines are going to be holding it in place for the most part anyways, the supports are mainly to keep it from rattling around. I just went through the same thing about 2 weeks ago :-( A slide hammer is a great tool to have in case you don't have one.

Yes it is HOT here in AZ, If the bottom ones are ok then just do like Kick_Ass2k1 suggested for the top get 2 long metal strips run a screw thru them into the frame of the condenser and then into the core support frame. Doesn't take a lot to hold them in place mine is held in with metal strips.

yeah right i have 12 tickets i always get caught no matter what... and yeah ill take them if the rubber is still good and the metal isnt all bent up how much would you want for them
