Default Header gasket/exhaust question

well my header gaskets look like old paper towels and they are leaking like a siv. I just got my spintech pro streets on and i cant even notice any change in the sound since I guess most of it is leaking out of the header and its not making it to the muffler? (could be wrong) is this the case? how hard is it to change the gaskets on these things? can I just unbolt them from the block and move them slightly and swap gaskets without having the unbolt them from the mid pipe?

Also when I got my spintechs in the mail, they looked pretty small but I have heard clips of them and they sound so raunchy, i was hoping anyone else has experience with them.

Here are some pics of my custom cat back I had made.

Yup. Just unbolt them from the block, you'll have enough clearance to slide the old ones out, and the new ones in.

they dont really melt on... head gaskets dont really melt either.... they get heated up thats for sure... they tend to set into place after than have been heated up... if you have stock headers swaping them out wont ttake long.. aftermaket headers can be a bitch to get to all the bolts... buts its not hard... 8 bolts on each side slide the gasket out but ne ones in and tight them down form inside to outside like this 7 5 3 1 2 4 6 8 that would be the order to tight them in if you were looking straight at hte head same for both sides... torque specs depend on you bolts but i normally just sung them up pretty good then put about 100miles on it and sung them up agian...its not hard at all...

as for the muffler being small... i wouldnt worry about it... a lot of smaller mufflers tend to be pretty loud... get teh air leaks fixed and id think ull notice a differnce in sound

GL!! LUK!!!

Thanks.

Iguess I am better off not reusing the original bolts? I have heard stories that they break when you try to take them off.
