I just replaced the TFI module.. Car still won't start. It fires and runs for like 1/2 second, then dies. It wont stay running. Any ideas?

heres my awesome explanation of how it does it... crankcrankcrankVROOMdead

Does anybody have a diagram of how all vaccum lines are routed and what they connect to?

thats not a vacuum problem. its a fuel problem. it sounds like your running off the prime, and then the ECM isn't commanding the fuel pump to turn on full time.

thats where i would start looking.

Why did you replace the module? What was it doing before you changed it?

It was doing the same thing it's doing now. Fuel Pump is wired to a switch, so it comes on when I turn it on, and stays on till I turn it off.

Vaccum I was just curious about as well cuz I'm not sure if I put everything back the way it was.

Could it be timing? I had my distributor out, and to put it back in, I got the motor on the compression stroke on cyl #1.. Turned it over to 0 on the HB, then put the distributor in with the rotor pointing to 1. Is that Right?

The timing should be at least at 10

yah thats pretty much it, but if you were 180* out it probably wouldn't even fire, unless you advanced or retarded the crap out of it.
