would chanbging to 24 injectors and not calibrating the mass air meter make the check engine light go on because before my mods it wasnt on then it cae on after here are my other mods done I have an 88 mustang 5.0 gt 5 speedKing cobra clutch, cobra intake manifold,edlebrock 65 mm thottle body, a throttle body spacer, 24 pound cobra injectors, paxton fuel pressure regulator , bbk shory headers, ac delete which could make the check engine light go off.

I'm confused as to why you upgraded injectors. Stockers are more than enough for your mods. I'm not positive that it would trigger the check engine light, but I am positive that you will never get to run correctly without at least getting a MAF calibrated for the 24#ers. I would put the 19# injectorsback in and pull the codes to determine the cause of the check engine light.

It could cause a CEL. Your fuel trims could be maxed out because the car is running pig rich and the computer is trying to compensate. At the same time, the computer might not be able to get the O2 sensors to "switch" so it will think something is wrong and trip a light.
