Default ticking in head

well i recently put my car together and drove it for 450 miles...we ran it a couple time from around 300 and up...well today it started ticking in the right side head...i dont know what happened...it raises with the rpms....it has ran fine until today....so imnot sure what it could be...it still feels like it has the same power...but im not sure...any help would be appreciated...btw it has stock heads and cam..thanks

well i had that same thing in a trans am and it was a bent push rod that means not fun to fix.

dang...i had a feeling it was gonna be something like that...what would cause it to bend and why didnt i lose power?

Here's somethign simple to check.. make sure all of your header bolts are tight. That heppened to me after installing some BBK headers... the bolts loosened themselves up and could hear an awful tick from the engine because of just 2 bolts being loose.

it might not be bend..just pop the cover off and give them all a snug....since u just put the top end back together it just probably broke in and a rocker loosened up enough to cause a tap when it hits the rod

might be a header gasket also, or a loose bolt, happens alot more then you think

im guessing one of your rockers are loose, get lock tite and put it on all your rocker bolts for safe measure.

def check ur header bolts b 4 you do anything else could just be an exhaust leak..
