I have, but I was using 60s.

.68 BFSC is pretty generous.

So are you saying that BSFC does not play a big role in the proper sizing of injectors? And you're saying that injectors that are maxed out on a N/A engine would support just as much HP on a car with forced induction?

BTW, if you knew anything about me or have read any of my posts in the past, then you'd already know the answer to that. It's not like I keep everything a big secret.

I have built 650hp forced induction motors using High Impedance actually 48lb injectors. Not exactly apples to apples but not eaxctly a problem either.

I hope you were talking to him (and I think you are). BFSC plays a MAJOR role. But it's all based on how efficient the combo is. .45-.50 is good for N/A. .55-.60 is usually FI figures. Murillo actually had software to figure it out on my dyno runs. I can't remember the numbers though. I think I was around a .56.

Here was the total combo.

2002 GT
Stock block and bottom end.
Patriot Heads Full porting
Custom cam
Vortech SQ 12psi Intercooled
Carbon Fiber Valve cover (didn't add anything it was what customer desired)
Tremec T-56
Aluminum Driveshaft
Port Matched inatke.
.6 BFSC 48lb High Impede injectors.
Tuned

Dynoed in Spring Texas ambient temp. 98 Humidity 85%
675 flywheel
582rwhp.

Never argued the importance of BFSC btw sometimes numbers get thrown around as theory not actual experience. I meant no insult

I think I see where the miscommunication is. The HP numbers I quoted were all rwhp. And it seems that you were quoting BHP.

With a BSFC of 0.6, a fuel pressure of around 42 or so, and 48# injectors, I can see it making 582 rwhp

LoL, that's probably a good idea. I often forget that there are many people new to cars / engines here. They're having a hard enough time figuring out the difference between heads and headers. And then they come and read this!
