Default Injectors

What do you gurus suggest for injectors on a supercharged setup pushing 12lbs with AFR 185 heads and RPM intake

I'm torn between 42 and 48 pounders

then...

I do not understand how they are sized as far as Ohms

what do you guys suggest and/or used on a similiar setup

42s will max out usually around 450 rear wheel horse.....

I have 42s and they were at 96% duty cycle on a run I did with 422 to the wheels so depends what you think you are going for with power.

its a good rule of thumb that you never want to go above 80% duty cycle on the injectors. you might want to upsize.

42lb injectors will support 650hp. Where and the hell are some of you getting your numbers from?

If you want to learn a little about injector terminology and theory. Please refer to the tech. I wrote in the Tech Article Section. It was posted by HC and written by me

I'd run 42s unless I was planning on making over 500rwhp constantly. IfI already had them, I'd push them to 550rwhp. But if I were planning on building 550rwhp from scratch, I'd go to a 55lb.

Im running 42's at 450rwhp and it was still enough to keep the air/fuel a little rich even in the upper rpm's. I dont know what the duty cycle was though

What it will support depends on what your patcular setup is. BSFC plays a huge role. 42# injectors will hold 650 HP of a N/A engine with a BSFC of 0.50. But it will only support just under 500 rwhp on a decent forced induction engine with a 0.68 BSFC. This is assuming that the fuel pressure is 42 PSI and assuming that there is no safety margin.
