after manifold now smokes
My younger brother in his 92 5.0 has recently changed the stock intake manifold for a edlebrock performer. The motor has 120,000 original miles stock. With the old manifold on the car did not smoke from the exhaust. After the mechanic changed the intake it smokes everytime you step on it even a little bit. I also noticed that his temp. gauge has gone up a little as well but is still in the middle of the normal postioning. I was telling him that I think the mechanic put the manifold on wrong and the silicon didn't dry correctly or the antifreeze is getting into the intake somehow. Any ideas?
