i was wondering if i could put a bigger cam in my 86 without hitting the valves to the pistons. whats the biggest i could get? e303?

you are aware you'll need stiffer springs for virtually any roller cam upgrade right? with your pistons your also limited in his big you can go. i dont know the exact answer, but i can tell you whatever it is you dont want to be throwing money at a frpp alphabet cam.

i have seen trick flow stage 1 cams put in there fine on a stock 86 block. I believe the ptv is something like nothing bigger than .520 lift. But I could be wrong

With an 86 there isn't much clearance even with the stock cam. If your trying to do a budget motor just buy a 87-95 shortblock and build on that.
