Default Track time EST.????

my brother is getting his manifold reinstalled so we were not able to go to the track last night. What 1/4 mile est. would you think a 92 gt. 5 speed ,3.73 gears, edelbrock performer intake, CAI, bbk shorty headers, bbk o/r h pipe, flows, hurst shifter, pullies, short belt(no smog pump), bfg drag radials would run. He is also a very good driver(he would pull consistant 13 flatsin his mr2). Itold him with these things and a good launch he should be low 14 maybe high 13s. Am I pretty Close? Besides heads what other cheap mods would you suggest to help out at the track as far as the car goes. We know tire pressure icing the intake etc. etc. I was telling him maybe some 1.7 r.r and some drag springs and shocks. any ideas or suggestions would greatly be appreactiated.

Ive got most of those same parts on my car. With a 5 speed in mine the fastest time i went was 12.43 at 108, then again, my car is gutted(Just over 3000lbs with me in the car), has a cage and hooks up quite well on the launch with ET Streets. Just put a c4 in this week, dunno what its gonna run now????? Was breaking to many T5's.

Oh and for some other ideas, ive got GT40 Tubro Swirl heads, and lakewood lower conrol arms, thats about all thats different, and its a stock bottom end 302, with almost 100,000 miles under its belt. Ive got bigger injectors too, and a custom tune. The tune is definatley something to look into.

no reason it shouldn't go 13.60-13.80 @ about 100

ice the intake, push it far as you can, run no belt if you wish, just put it back on on the return road , dump ALL excess weight, sway bars etc.

if he's not pulling 1.7x 60' times...he needs to improve his burnout

if all else fails ...... spray it !
