RE: leaking oil
Had the low oil sensor leaking (new gasket from 5.0 Resto) and both (seriously) drain plugs (new ones from NAPA). Much better. Still need to look further at valve cover gaskets and pan gasket.
As said earlier, more time that difficulty.
Good luck!

When applying the rear main, a dab of high temp bearing grease around the seal will help extend the life and make instal a breeze. Its very easy to put these in crooked or damage them, I use a rubber mallet and block of polished wood.

RE: leaking oil
Check the rear intake gasket. That son of a bitch always starts leaking and you really can't tell where the leak is coming from until you stick your hand on the rear of the lower intake manifold and feel a puddle of oil.
