are the gts and lx bodys the same? if you took offall the ground effects on a gt wouldnt it look like an lx? or is there a bigger diefference?

I think the lx has less drag on the body than the gt

more than 100 lbs difference, the difference is the GT has ground affects which "supposely" do better at higher speeds which should be right, but I dont have any stats. The LX is about 400lbs difference, because the ground affects way alot. So, the LX should be faster off the line cause of the weight difference, if they both have 5.0s. so yes there is a different......

the lx has a better coeff. and better rear down force if you ever go fast enough for it to come into play.. really it only 100-175 pound. were the really differece is with the sedan. which has the worse coeff. but won't have the body flex as with the hatchback..

im talking 87-93 5.0 5 speed, if i got a gt and just changed the body kit to a cobra kit it would be about the same or would i need an lx for the cobra kit?

a notch back is faster.. lx hatch and a gt hatch are real close... come on same car and same basic setup... if doing a cobra clone, go with the lx because the gt body kit will leave nasty marks on the car when removed...
