Might Install Header Gasket myself....
I just got one installed like 2 days ago..and the gasket was really ****ty. them paper ones haha. I didnt know what i was thinking when i bought it. So i got a Fel Pro one, im told those are great.
The guy who put it in is a friend and if he doesnt want to do it again for free..then im going to try. I really have no experience, lately i have been fixing alot of stuff myself but not this. I have all the basic tools and stuff, and a jack and jack stands. What will i need to do to do it? I have been reading up but i want some of my forum friends opinions.

Its real easy, just remove all the bolts except the first and last. Loosen the first and last enough to remove gasket. There are hooks on the ends of the gaskets so hook over the first and last bolt. I would install all bolts by hand then tighten

Should i be careful by not getting any of the gasket inside of anything?

Tighten the bolts from the inside out...
Get a torque wrench with a crows foot (for those that you cannot get a socket on) and torque them to the proper specs...
After a couple of hours of driving, you may need to re-tourque the bolts. Then you should be good to go...no leaks

i forgot to get some glue for my gasket, is there any special kind used for the Felpro kind?
And does the steel part go against the cylinder heads or the manifold?

You don't need glue for headder gaskets, and it doesn't really matter which side goes out as long as the holes line up!

But make sure you tighten from the inside out (Without Overtorquing it !)
