Default tranny fluid

hey guys i'm changing my tranny fluid i was wondering how many quarts of oil i needed to put in it... and is there any easy way to put it in, right now i just put a hose on the top of the bottle and i'm squeezing it lol it's a paint in the *** but it's workin i guess... but i really need to know how many quarts to put in... thanx guys

Hey just pulled this from the Amsoil website for you. This is assuming you have the 5.0 V8.

Cooling System, Initial Fill..........13.0 liters
AMSOIL Antifreeze and Engine Coolant
Automatic Transmission, Total Fill..........11.8 liters
Manual Transmission, ..........2.6 liters
Differential, with 7.5 ring gear Rear..........1.5 liters[2]
Differential, with 8.8 ring gear Rear..........1.79999995231628 liters[2]

1. Some engines may have 2 oil drain plugs.
2. Others: Fill to no more than 1/4" to 9/16" below fill plug

TORQUES
Oil Drain Plug.....15-25 ft-lbs
Manual Transmission 5-SPD
Fill Plug.....15-25 ft-lbs
Drain Plug.....15-25 ft-lbs

Or you can fill it from the shifter , it has to be removed of course.

fill from shifter = easiest way w/ no pump

2 3/4 qts or remove the fill plug w/ a ratchet extension and pump til it over flows

Yeah its not that hard, I just did mine last night through the fill hole with a pump by myself until it overflowed
