I would have second thoughts about Anderson's cams.
Get with Comps and get something that designed for a 347.
I saw the specs on Aderson's stuff on here a while back and I'm not really impressed by them, Anderson likes to keep all the specs 'secret' BTW..........

i have thought of that also ive gotten in contact with full auto, i just cant see having a machine shop doing all the work being cheaper, any body on here with the boss block ? or would you guys still rather go with the dart... maybe what im looking for a stock block machined properly with a bunch of gurdles would do the job too?

Forgive me for throwin my two cents in, but what is the deal with a 347 that makes it up for discussion have longevity issues? I am thinking it's a very stroked and bored 302? Or am I wrong?

My theory is I'm just gonna eventually buy a 351 out of an old pickup and build the heck out of it and swap.

I was having a converstaion about this kind of thing few weeks back before my vacation and personally i was wodnering why anyone would pay all the money for a stroker kit and have it balanced and machine work etc etc whe nyou can just take a 351 and it would hold much more power and you would be saving money and have more cubes.

i went with a 347 just because it is still based off of a 302 block, if i had to do it over again i would go 351w Dart Iron Eagle block bored and stroked to a 408 or 427 and twin turbos added,

stock 302 225FWHP
Stock 302 w/ HCI 280-350FWHP
347 w/ HCI 375-600FWHP
347 w/ HCI and T76 @ 12-15#s 700RWHP
347 w/ HCI and T7g @ 20-25#s 800-1100RWHP
408w/ HCI and twin 60s or twin 76s 800-1200RWHP

and so on and so forth,, you have to change out some things with the 351, i didnt want to do that since i already had everything for my 347 build, when i build another fox body it will be a 351w based car,

you can build a stock block 347 (what DSS does) and make it push out 400+ HP but you will be pushing the limits of the stock block, thats why after i fried my first stock 347 engine i dropped everything into a dart iron eagle good for 2000HP,

as for the Boss block or the Dart Sportsman, for me it was worth the extra couple hundred dollars for added insurance with the all 4 bolt splayed main caps, remember you've got to pay to play!!
