its engaging really low due to the damage in the cable which is causing more slack in the cable than what should be there. you will be real lucky if it doesnt break before you replace it. thats why im glad i went to the c-4 tranny with manual shift body. just pull into the next gear but still drives like a manual.

I'll be replacing it tomorrow...i'm lucky it didn't break on the way home. I'm just glad (knock on wood) that it's just the cable, and not the clutch.

+1 on the cable. new cables should come with a bracket that holds them against the inner fender AWAY from the headers to provent this poblem. this is key

if you still do have the stock quadrant... might wanna concider replacing it right now aswell... i thought my stocker would be fine, and then it broke on me while driving to work... you try making a half hour drive home w/out being able to stop... and having to rev match to shift up or down... not too fun, lol... puttin in the new quadrant was... well, fun, lol... in my car it was a bitch... but every other 5.0 ive looked under the dash of, has more room..... all i got to say is DO NOT attempt to replace it w. another stocker... itll never happen

OK and you bought a car like this, WHY????
If the rest of the car turns out tobe lemon, then that's a great question but it seems like the clutch is not disengaging. That is not enough to prevent me from buying a car I want. Great leverage tool to talk down the price though.

If you are from Kitchener. Check out GTAMC.com

Yeah, I still have the stock Quadrant...I was going to get one of those, but for now I need the cable for sure (funds issue, until I get paid)...Also I got a local mechanic to put on the Cable for me, he said 40 or 50 bucks, sounds like a good deal for me. Saves me from having to get under the car and crap (no garage).

The car doesn't seem like a lemon at all, and I know it's early...but it has NICE acceleration even with the stock 2.73's in it. Smoked the tires right off, engine sounds good, exhaust sounds good, pretty nice "racing" seats in it...I know I promised pics today, but I couldn't get the Digi, so it will have to be tomorrow or the next day when it comes back from the shop.
