Default 302..327..342..

Hey all i was wondering which short block i should get i was thinking of going with one from central coast mustang seeing as how i live like 45 min from there and my dad works up in teachapi... I am not sure which block to get but i know i will get the x-303 with the forged pistons... I wanted to know if these engine were any good or if you have heard anything about them like if they were good or bad... I was really looking at the 342 and for now just puting my ported and milled e-7s i have lieing around.. i got them for free but i havent put them on my car so they are in a box just sitting there... So what do you think about going this route??? i will be putting some 185s or 165s on it later on down the road...

So which do you think would be best to go with the 302...327..or..342???[:-]
thanks in advance...here is the site with themClick Here

I would go with the 342 ci. unless you cant afford the extra money.

Where are you located. I am 45 min from Tehachapi also. I am in Bakersfield.

Just a little piece of advice, when you get the crate motor take it apart and check everything.

That sounds like a nice price to me. I would get the dished pistons so you can run allot of boost.

With those heads(IE E-7) don't be surprised if you are in the 13's. I wouldn't do the motor until I was ready to do it right. I also think the carb is a little small for that cubic inch.
