Default Vaccum question

Does it matter where the source comes from for the vaccum distribution block as long as it is comming from the upper intake?

I have a Trick flow intake, and have the source plugged in to the upper intake, on the drivers side connector. I have a higher idle than I would like, and if I try to adjust it, it will not drop below 1000 rpms or it will die.

I have tried cleaning the IAC twice, and the TPS is reading .98-.99 with car on, engine off.

Mine is the same way. I have tried every fix that I could find on this site and on the net for poor idle. I have cleaned every piece of the intake system that I could get to or take off. I have replaced more parts than I care to write out. I finally set the base idle at like 950-1000. Car has not had an idle problem since. No more idle surge, no more restarting the car at every red light or stop sign.

I am going to work on a few more things tonight. I am going to mess around with the timing a little bit, double check all the vaccum hoses, and also look at the speed sensor. I know I had a few teeth that were messed up when I installed it. My idle bounces when the car is cold, and then every once in a while, will die at a stop sign. The idle also hangs a little when I rev it at a stop. I can only be a few things, so I am going to try and narrow it down.
