Check fluid level first. Then rebuild.

Yeah I love our t-5 kick down cable, the driver is in total control and shifts to whatever gear we chose. You gotta love it.

Well any of you guys have a link to a t-5 swap? And whats the average total I would spend on all the parts. I asked a guy that goes to UTI in houston, he owns a red 5.0. He said he would help me do the swap.

So a shift kit would fix my problem? And save me the trouble of a rebuild?

if its only the OD band thats giving you a problem, a good shift kit will include a new OD band

if u fix it soon u can save the tranny

the constant slippage is whats going to grenade your tranny

this is why i avoid using over-drive at all costs...

i highly doubt it's saveable.

you could try for the od band replacement and at least it might buy you some time, for the meantime stop using od, just use d

t5 swap is close to $1500 if you buy a brand new t5 trans, lots of articles out there, the best one was on http://www.westcoastfords.com

aod rebuild will run about that or probably more. so decide what you want to do, personally i'd go t5, if you dead set on keeping it auto, do a lentech aod. t5 swap can be good for almost a full second ET cut. i have had lots of mustangs and track times don't lie
