Havenot broken into the bottom end since I bought it. My son and I thought the cam timing might be a factor. We tried to defuel but that just presented other problems were thinking of going back to stock AF for baseline see what the results are. I gotta suspect timing also.

We are not sure on the multi hole camshaft sprocket. It felt like timing to me when I finished putting the car back together. I advanced the timing and it did not do much. I also retarded it and it did not do much either. The car just has no torque. My stock headed bolt on car feels better than his car does. My car is only around 2800lbs, but my old coupe was similar in weight to his car. My coupe would come un-glued in first and second gear with no clutch.

Oh my god!!!!! If you would of looked at the posts more closely!!! You would have known it was a father and son that were posting the stuff. Look at my original post!!!!! It says my fathers coupe....Wow!!!! Oh and don't worry I have been trouble shooting cars for a long time. I just thought it would be nice to get another spin on what was going on. I know it would be hard to swallow some pride and say, "man sorry about that." Don't speak for the moderator. If he wants to drop me so be it. My father has nothing to do with my posts. Just voicing my opinion...
Hey kid dont blow a gasket. I was trying to give you some mature advise as to why you should not flame the forum because the information and opinions are of no cost to you. There was a misunderstanding with you and the moderators and the mix-up was explained, i thought that would have been the end of it and everyone would move on. But after the explanations were given you went into a rant about how dissapointed you are with the forum.I have no problem with apologizing when i am in the wrong, explain how i offended you and i will apologize. I do not speak on the moderators behalf but i do respect them even if i dont agree with them always. I think everone has been civil except you. It is really no big deal, lets all just enjoy the forum and move on.

Could also be worn valves. At higher rpm's valve leaks arent concerns becasue everything is moving so fast that they dont have time to leak much, have you done a compression or cylinder leakage test??

sounds like your timming might be off and A/F ratio also. I had that problemlong time ago. I bought a timinglight, a fuel pressure regulator, and a A/F meter. the a/f meter aint cheap but is key. your timming should be around 10-14 and adjust the fuel pressure according to the A/F ratio, mine is just shy of 13. good luck kid
