dude these people don't know $hit.....see if you listen you might have a 13 sec 400 hp car[&:]or a 12 sec 300+hp car
do you suspension home work, put the car on a diet, grab some nice light wt rims and some sticky tires after that
1.pulleys
2. 2.5 exhaust..NO dumps! with unequal length headers
3. 73 or 76 mm MAF
4. 3.55 gears
5. 65mm T/B
6. aluminum driveshaft
7. light battery..maybe a BAT battery
8. 73mm calipers/ svo master cyl./ braided lines
9. msd or mallary ignition with low ohm resist wires
10. intake...cobra/gt-40 or a professional products one
11. 3 core rad with a 185 STat
12 list goes on

I would buy a 351 block and start your build over the winter while enjoying the car now..like I said you could always start the suspension mods....alot of 12.95-13.20 on a stock engine with suspension mods

ya i agree with 2 Kwik, do your suspension first! i started doing the engine on my last car and as much fun that was it sucked cause all i did was sit there all day long spinning the tieres

i would start with a hci something like a holley or tf add gears (3.55 or 3.73) first then make some suspension mods such as control arms, k-member, springs to handle the power, then go to brakes the sn95 body has pretty decent brakes stock but at this point i would upgrade then i would look at getting a procharger. just my 2cents

power isn't always everything, put a set of 3.73 posi in the rear, edelbrock high rise intake, fuel pressure regulator,a holley 650 4 bbl carb, hedman headers, straight X pipe wit no cats, flowmaster 40 series mufflers, gt-40x heades, and a large camshaft andyou should be around 325 to 350 hp.

if u want 400 hp its pretty easy... nice 347 with a h/c/i will get you 400rwhp no problem.... thats about a 5k job if u do it rite and ull pretty much be all done on hp.. a nice shot of nitrous for hte track mayb... if u dont want to stroke it and u dont want giggle gas then my other suggestion would be a mild h/c/i on you 302 with a vortech or procharger(you wont have enough money left for a paxton thats hte only reason i dont metion them) you probably end up with a vortech cuz ATI isnt cheap either.... so a vortech on 10psi with a mild h/c/i will get u 400rwhp no problem... u could also do a very basic gt-40 swap and explorer intake swap... dont but ne cash into just get it off an explorer then get a steeda #19 that will keep the h/c/i really cheap... like 1000 bucks'ish then get a nice intercooler procharger and run 12psi or so.. i would suggestion planing this way tho... only account for 4000 bucks in you starting plans cuz ill end up spending another 1000 on stuff u forgot trust me you will.... u can throw 400hp stuff at you all day... we can suggestion a slit engine modding with suspension work... but really what do you want and with what u want will tell you how to get there.. mean i wanted a blower but i wanted 500rwhp so i needed help with a h/c/i... also keep in mind support upgrades u will need... they normally cost as much as the actually power mod
