Default Torque converter problems

I just installed a 3000 stall and i doesnt stall at 3000 it only goes to about 1600 RPMs and then it starts to burn the tires??????????? Whats wrong

is it a b&m? is it custom made for your car?

if you answered yes to the first question or no to the second question, there is nothing wrong with your converter. its just a piece of sh*t off the shelf converter and you thought you were saving money by buying a $200 converter but surprise, you didnt.

rarely does a 3k converter stall up to 3k there are some many variables and one is close to the above is the tolerates of the converter

That stall is not rated for a 3000 rpm foot brake stall, that's a 3000 rpm transbrake stall. Where did you get your converter from? It should foot brake stall up to about 2000-2200 rpms.

its a lock up converter, and its a boss hog converter.

ya u really need to buy a good converter, i put a cheap one in mine and it brake stalls about the same and flashes at about 2500 on the dyno, i need a better one!! aka edge

i got one from a local shop, they get them custom made. i got 3.27's right now, got it made for 3.73's and its around a 3500ish stall, i can footbrake to 3k and boy is that nice, but wheelhop isnt.
