Default help!! tranny crossmember

ok i have a 79 Coupe, i bought a stock dual exhaust exhaust system headers to tips form my buddy off an 89 LX. I also bought a double hump tranny xmember, the problem is the spindles(?) are like 2 inches longer than the stock. the crossmember might have been from a manual but i told him the car is a C4, is the size differince due to the year, or is it mabye the tranny?

oh also the gas tank seems to be off set afew inchestwords the pssenger's side, will this pose a problem w/ the pipes?
