You can adjust the cable if it is adjustable. Find where the cable connects to clutch fork and see if there is a long thread and nut on end of cable.

If you don't have an adjustable cable; I've also read that you can take the clutch pedal in your hand and pick up on it and that will also help with some adjustment.

that is true. You lift pedal all the way up with foot or hand and if you have the stock quadtrant it will make an adjustment.

To adjust a stock clutch cable: hold clutch pedal down. You would have to hold the quadtrant in place and lift the pedal up. I you did it correctly you would hear a clicking noise. If you pull it to far up it will loosen up. Try doing it until you get the pedal were you want the clutch to engage. It will take more than one time of holding the quadtrant to adjust it but you will see the difference when you do it the first time.

The quadrant should be spring loaded. You don't need to hold the quadrant, just lift the pedal and you should here a couple of clicks. If that doesn't work it may be time to replace cable and quadrant with a aftermarket one. I purchased the UPR kit and haven't had any problems with it.

I went with the STEEDA kit. It isn't a bad price and not too hard to change out.
