A few of the rocker studs on my heads came loose when i was taking the rockers bolts off. Is there a specific tq rating for these? I couldnt find them online anywhere and edelbrock customer service is closed. Does anyone happen to know what the torque specs are for these?

crank em down tight as you think you can without ripping the threads outta the aluminum (or ripping the helicoils out of the aluminum if they have em). im sure there is a torque, but all that matters is that its tight on something like a rocker stud. if you were compressing a gasket or bearing then a proper torque would actually matter

Alright i guess ill just tighten them down. I didnt want to skip anything when i reassmble all this and have to pay for it later.

maby u can figure out the tq by sticking the tq wrench and setting it at say 50ft lbs and see if it moves the stud before it clicks. if not go to 55. and go till it feels like the stud might move and set it a tad lower. like if it started to move at 69, set all urs to like 65-68. im guessing that will work.

You mean by setting the torque wrench on a stud thats already tightened right? But thats the thing, whoever owned the car before me didnt do much maintenance in the valvetrain. I wanted to check all the pushrods before i reassembled the engine and like 6 rockers were loose. The nuts were so loose, I took 3 of them off with my fingers. I just wanted to find a specific torque rating, if there is one, to just tighten down every stud. The two studs that came off loosened up with me taking off the rocker nut so they were loose to begin with.

The rocker stud torque is 55 ft lbs on most aluminum heads

I think I would use some 'red' Locktite here too....
