Default no gauges...

Just got my 85 Mustang GT and none of my gauges work. The rmp, speedo, temp and amp all are not working. It's my first time working on these cars and im not sure how its all set up. I checked the speedo and twisted the cable and watched it work the speedomotor, so i know that its not snapped or anything. I put it back in and it still wasn't working. Still have to check all the other gauges more, but im just not sure if some work off one another or anything. Any insight would be great. Thanks in advance.

well you have more than 1 issue

some are mechanical , some are fused etc.

speedo is direct , either the cable is broke or the speedo gear is chewed/gone

could be a bad speedo, the internals in the speedo, I would look into checking fuses first, I can not see a whole cluster going bad. You may have a ground wire off some where, could be a main ground for the cluster.
