Why would you want to install an aftermarket cam, if the suppporting components are not upgraded?.......stock valve springs are so-so for the stock cam, the B, E, stg x, etc.....require valve train upgrades. FYI....with the E303 and 1.6 rockers (stock)....you are .012" from coil bind (.060" is the minimum gap required) on the exhaust valves, add some revs to that condition, and you're close from having valve train problems.....in addition, the spring rate the cam needs to control those valves, is not "available" from the stock parts.......Just a thought.
The rockers will work, but you may also need to change the pushrods....for that, you might need to check the rocker-to-valve gap following the collapsed lifter method......for the direct replacement springs/retainers you may want to ask for them here ..... send him an email and tell him I sent you.
i have the e cam with 1.7 crane rrs and trickflow stock length pushrods. the heads have been milled and the engine runs smooth and quiet well no piston to valve problem
