Default Eagle 347?? ( or eagle 331 kit )

Hey all.. Has anyone heard about the street strip eagle 347 stroker kit??? I like the kit because it is inexpensive and comes with the flywheel and damper.. Does anyone know what kind of power this thing can hold?? My build is not going to exceed 500 hp so will this do??? Thanks in advance..

Ohh and i am going to be using this as an everyday driver so how will this kit hadle the abuses of the street because i have heard the kit is not for the street because it has problems is this a myth or what??? Thanks..

Edit or should i go with the eagle 331 kit???

It isn't the rotating assembly you have to worry about braking with that kit, it is the block

exactly, but if he plans to have under 500 hp then he's fine. But anything more than that, I would least recommend to bump up to a sportsman block.

And eagle is a great kit, go with the 347, more torque than the 331 obviously, my dad got a 408 stroker from them for his 351w, and everything was perfect.

Just curious, I know that the car is a daily driver, how many miles will he see in this engine with the occasional trip to the track?

I've seen them go past 65,000+ miles, but since stroker kits are still being put in, who really knows, as long as you assemble it right and make it streetable, it should last a long time, if your not beating the hell out of it.

Do you know of a place where I can find the Eagle kits. I tried summitracing.com but they only have the kits for the chevy's, and I ask why? LOL Please let me know.

Ebay, many of the vendors on ebay have stroker kits of all sorts. You just need to to decide what you want down to the level of forged parts or not and select one. You can get non forged kits for as low as $600, the completely forged kits with H style rods can go as high as $1500.
