Look at them...check for carcks or wear. ALos, you can wet them down at night time and start your car up, if they are bad, you will see spark from them.

If it is a concern, just get new ones, they are that much cash.

well i have a new set of msd wires on the car now but the other day it started missing kinda when driveing it kinda bucks plus its feels like its holding back

If the ignition stuff is all new, and you know its installed right, then check for other problems....such as fuel and air, vac leaks....What is your timing set at.

What kind of plugs and what are they gapped at? How long after the new parts install did you start having problems?

Was it just time for an upgrade or whas there are reason for the new parts? Also, I gap mine at .049(guess you gat at .054, not .54) but it shuoldn't make much of a difference. Did you drop any spark plugs when you were installing them? Are they all still tight?
