i would do wat "ZachW04Stang" said and do the mass air conversion and an intake manifold

please explain to me why i should waste the money????
With a mass air conversion, you can run a more radical cam without idle problems... I had a 512 lift comp cam in my 87 and it was a hassle to keep it running at times... I never switched mine though, just dealt with it... But its not a waste of money...
shoulda got a better cam... sd is where its at... there are alot more strong points then most ppl like to think... id rather run a stock, or less agressive cam then swap to mass air

Like i said, i dealt with my idling troubles, and wasn't really a burden or anything... But for drivability, the mass air is a better set up imo...

I don't have any real idle problems. I have an iac plate, the car either has a small surge but you can here the lope or I just adjust one screw in the plate and it idles smooth at 1200rpm. You don't need a "radical" cam to make big hp if you piece everything together right. Theres a couple guys on corral making 330hp at the wheels with the same cam I'm using with 306's and afr 165's.

Sounds like a good deal...why you getting rid of it? just want to focus on the 'Stang? If I was closer my gf would probably be really interested for sure, but we're in good old Canada.

1200rpm... Doesn't sound to smooth... Little too high for idling... My car only tachs 1900 running sixty going down the road...
