Default Oh Crap! Intake help!

I want to kick my self for this but stuff hapens. First of all this is about me putting on the water tubes on the lower intake that run to the heater core. Well, my first mistake was not putting it on before boltingthe intakeon. My second mistake was screwing up the top threads on the intake. It is a gt-40 lower aluminum. I know it can be tapped out, butI have no idea what size I would need because I don't own a tap and die set. I tried starting it a few times but it doesn't want to take straight. I tried cleaning the threads up a little but no good. Looks like I may have to pull the intake back off? If I do, will I need to replace the gaskets again? The intake was torqued down. Anyone know the size or a better way about getting this fixed?

To put the heater tubes on you have to have the intake off. What threads did you screw up? The ones for bolting the upper intake to the lower? You will probably have to get a helicoil kit, which will require a drill and will come with the tap you need.

I messed up the threads for the heater tubes, where they screw into the lower intake. This is a before pic, but the threads is there by the #1 runner.

Yes, I got a tap today for my intake. I'll tap it out and vacume up the shaving. What a dumb $13 mistake.

It happens, just make sure next time to just pull the intake back off the first time and save yourself the headache.

Yeah, I guess your right. I'll try and get those today. I'm going to Delk Performance which specializes in Mustangs. They should have them. They also have a Dyno. Is there any other sensors that I should change? I have new O2 sensors.

I'd change all 3 sensors just to be sure.. ECT, ACT, and Temp sensor.

As long as you're changing things I'd go ahead and change the PVC screen and install a new PVC if you haven't already done that?
