whats the biggest stroker kit i can get with out boring or any other machine work done? just bolt on basically? how much power should one expect from the various kits on a other wise stock 5.0? i know there is alot of variable involved, so just give me some estimates.

edit: actually i think i've seen someone slap a 331 kit on a standard 302 bore, and it makes it a 327, but i dont recommend it.

342 stroke and with nothing else it will not be worth the gains you will see..

you need to ATLEAST have the engine honed.... otherwise your just asking for trouble

oh yes, it would at least get bottlebrushed (honed). would i gain any hp, or just torque.

cubes will always add both... but that all depends on what other supporting mods you add

i dont know how much it is where you live but here machine work is cheap. boring is ~$10 per cylinder

That would be a 327ci.

stock bore, with no notching of the block like needed with a 347 stroker

not sure but i would think with a 347 you might have to clear the rod bolts for the cam i know thats a must on a 383 chevy along with notching the block
