Default Window Fails to Go Up all The way - How to fix

First let me say that I believe this is a technical question, but if not, I apologize to the moderators.

As far as my issue, the drivers side window will no longer go up all the way. The motor pulls the window down no problem and gets it going up generally strong, but then it just stops with about 2 inches of opening. Does anyone know whether this means I need to replace the motor or if there is something else to check first. I appreciate the help.

Your gonna have to pull the door panel and look for it binding. Its either the motor is going bad, regulator is bad, or its just binding somewhere.

Thanks man, I already have the door panel off, so I will just pull back the plastic sheet and see what I can see.

Mine sometimes does this also, the simple fix is just to push on the side of your door as you roll up your window, just start at about half way, and push with your arm a lil bit against the door above the arm rest if you have one, and it will roll right up more then likely. Doesnt take much force i can do it one handed with a broken back, but if your a panzy, stop and use 2 hands heh.

Thanks for the input, but I ended up just replacing the motor and I am good to go. Judging from how well the new motor performs, I am going to go ahead and do the passenger side window this coming weekend.
