hey guys theres a kid in my school, well dropped out of my school, who has i think an 89 5.0... i no he has a camp anda few other mods like headers and that kinda stuff, but nothing huge like a supercharger. he gets 6 miles a gallon, trhe car is in horrible shape, but he claims hemakes 500 hp at the wheels... people who have driven with him say its fast, but i think his seedo is oprobably just off... he said he was dynoing it last year, but no one eve really heard the results of that... anyway, is this even possible out of an 89 5.0 with no supercharger??

NA 302 5.0 having 500hp....... NO. Maybe approx 350rwhp with a GOOD h/c/i and spraying the rest for his 500hp. Thats about the only way that I see it happening. Now if hes running a modded 408W than that might be a different story

Yes it can be done. Wont last long beating but it would work. As for him having it N/A? No he is lying. I get 7 mpg and only make 300 wheel hp if that so MPG don't mean everything

i said i bet he had no more the 350rwhp, but he still stuck to his 500....he would still beat me (just under 300 in an 01 gt), but whatever, hios cars a peice hahaha. how much does a foxbody weigh about? i almost bought one with low miles and some mods for about 5 grand, but then i foundm ine for 9 and fell in love haha

500 hp with a N/A 302 been done many times BUT in a street car well I guess it depends on what you want to call a street car. A big solid roller cam, big compression and the right heads and the right rotating assy. and block8000 RPMand 500 hp is there.
