Strongest manual tranny ?
Who makes the strongest manual transmission for the 5.0. Because I plan on doing a 650-800 horsepower 5.0 in the future and want to know if I can do manual or just go automatic if they cant make um that strong?

Are you a drag racer, go auto call the boys at lentech for an AOD if you plan on doing any higway driving, you'll need O.D. Or drop in a custom C6 for that abuse.</P>
800hp manual trannytry gforce. All the drop in trannies wouldn't hold up to that power unless you granny shift it. The strongest drop in gear box is a toss up between Tremec TKO II (475 ft/lbs) and G-Force T5 (500ft/Lbs). These numbers are rated at first gear and if your not slamming the gear to make a 3000 lb car launch off the start line then granny shifting the transwill keep it alive behind800hp, but why have 800hp?<IMG src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0"></P>

I never said I had the 514 I said I was considering either doing a Big block fast car or small block fast car. I am just trying to get everyones opinion before I start on a project. I like to have many opinions of what is the best to do before I make a big investment

HMMMMMM? Something dont sound right. I see what you see SVT everytime he posts its something off the wall different than the last post. One day its a 302 with a supercharger, the next its a 514 with nitrous.

I dont have the money for those motors but I some day hope too. I am just asking around to see what would be the best thing to do and if anyone else has had any experience doing this.
