whats the shop time on headgasket?

how long does it call for on both heads?im doing both today.how long has it taken u?

I would expect at least 5 hours if you haven't done it before. Replace you head bolt too, don't reuse the old ones.

In my experience, take the shop time and tripple it (just like project budgets)... I always end up doing all sorts of extra stuff, like painting the heads.

So... 15 hours according to 'stanger.

I got 9.7 if you got ac and 9.3 without.

I did a hci at the shop I work at and charged 8 hrs. It took about 7 since I degreed the cam and checked piston to valve clearance.

man you should of got extra for the degree and ptv check....the labor guides don't account for performance additions...cause they are just a standard for stock slap it together jobbers....

I work salary, I don't have to worry about flat rate bullshÃ¬t.

It works out a lot better during the winter.
