RE: T5 specs
actually full slicks are what breaks t5's , stay on a cheater and you'll be good
here is a comparo for you, might be the same as the link posted above not sure....
i'll tell you one thing, you'll feel like you added 75 hp to your car , it really makes that much difference

RE: T5 specs
hey guys thanks for all the links and info....honestly the plans not to really drag race it that much at the strip....so the whole slick or cheater probably wont happen for a long time at least...maybe someday ill get tired of a street stang and move up to strip....but ya i just run the cheap sumitomos on the back cuz there 315s and there still cheap...oh and jthorn...ya ive seen ur car on here before when ive been readin and noticed that same similarity lol...gotta say..nice car to you too.....im kinda thinkin this winter is gonna be when i buy my hood...im thinkin cervinis 3 1/2 Cobra R hood....hopefully that all goes to plan an that way next spring the exterior should be done....so when summer comes around n im not in school and can work more again, ill get to go back to go fast stuff...but anyhow...thank you to everyone for the info....now i just need to figure out what i want to do..

Well if I'd ever get all my damn parts painted, our cars would no longer look the same, but paint jobs aren't cheap.[&o]Oh well, just got to keep on saving. Damn thing though isn't it, body parts are fairly cheap, but to paint each of those parts cost nearly the amount the damn part does.

RE: T5 specs
Actually a Mickey Thompson reprsentative told me at a show that ET Streets are more suited (in smaller sizes that the majority of the Mustang crowd would use) for stick cars than ET Drags. The sidewalls are stiffer which helps them hook when you bang a gear. A friend of mine has a 68' Camaro with a 8000 rpm small block and a Jerico four speed. He kept spinning badly when he powershifted second gear. We asked a M/T person what tires to use and he said if you can't hook up with ET Streets and a stick, slicks aren't going to help they are going to spin worse. Doubting what we were told we went to the Hoosier tent and asked the same question we just lied and said he had Quick Time Pros, we got the same answer. So I don't think it matters what kind of sticky dragtires are used, traction, poor shifting techniques, or a lot of power kill T5s which is definitely the case with silver I think.
