auto to stick...change computer?
my boss at work has a 90 5.0 mustang...when he bought it, it had its transmission changed from an auto to a stick. he is having a multitude of problems, and hes thinking a computer may end up fixing it, since he has recently found out that the computer is different from auto to stick. is this true? if so, would it fix erratic idle/CEL that wont clear or give codes, etc? any thoughts?

It might.....but.....
1. He needs to confirm the ECM is bad indeed.
2. ID what caused the ECM to fry and correct it, otherwise he runs the risk of frying another ECM
3. Yep...the ECM's are different, but either could be used with the other trans config.......if set right.
