my car has pedestal mount crane 1.7 RR. Since putting the motor together i've got about 30k miles on it, when i first put it together the motor sounded great, really quiet, but i think from abuse latley or whatever reason the valvetrain defenitely sounds sloppy now, is it common for the ped. mount rockers to loosen up? do they need adjustment every once in awhile or are they set for good once you adjust them?

they should be fine, but I would check it to make sure, i noticed all roller rockers I have used are pretty loud

Just check them to make sure none of the bolts came loose and re-torque them. Had one come loose on mine but they were fine after that.

Rob, did you replace the lifters when you did the top end?

My Crane 1.7 rr's are rather loud, always have been, but yeah, double check to make sure nothing is loose
