Default Trac Lok Clutches?? help..

so. i am puttin a 3.55 gear in my car and i was going to replace the clutches in the rearend while i had it apart and bearings and all that. anyways.. i saw 2 diff sets of clutches for my 8.8.. one was like a stock replacement. and it was like 75.00. the other set was some Carbon Fiber crap or somethin.. let me know what you think about the carbon fiber ones.. if they are worth the 50.00 more.. or if not.. is there anywhere you know to get the stock replacement clutches at for less than the 75.00 i found? thanks.. Dobie

I used the carbon fiber clutches in my 99 trac loc..better holding powerthan the stock fiber clutches...I believe the 03 Blower cobras came with the carbon fiber units..

I'd still like to hear from anyone who has tried removing the friction material altogether and just running metal to metal in the trac-lok.

that easy, wait till the friction material wears off, and youll have a open differential, metal to metal.

yea, if there is no friction material there.. you dont even really have a lockin rearend/posi.. whatever. itll just be a open diff. aight. well. i think i am just gonna go with the stock style clutches.. if i need more than that.. it will be later down the road. im also puttin a clutch in it too. any suggestions?? king cobra?? ... throw some ideas.
