You can also still use the efi fuel system with the proper regulator and design (it needs to be in the return path)

thats the problem...i find hot wires, but as sooon as i go to crank the car they dont work...when i dont hook the ignition wire up to it it will light up the test bulb...but as soon as i put the bulb on it it goes out...idk...thought the computer might have something to do with it..thanks for the responses so far

No not at all the computer doesn't control those things...if you had cruise control then it won't work... trust me I gutted the efi harness just remove it or lay it up on the fenders without cutting anything then when you have it to the point where you can see what wires need to be cut which if I remember right only 5-7 did....the rest will unplug from sensors.. and the headlights are seperate from the efi harness...if you had an air bag unplug the module that is behind the A/c / heater switches and remove the light bulb from the instrument cluster...that'll depend on what year the mustang is.... mine was a 92
