Anywhere from 10 - 30 HP over your current setup, those valve springs need to be ugraded though.

You could run the stage 1 cam with the stock springs. Ive seen it done a few times. Once you start getting above .512 lift it is good to get different ones, but it would not hurt to get different ones but not totally neccesary

But that is the wrong way to do it........ ANY upgrade in the cam dept. REQUIRES upgraded springs.... there are other items beides lift that the cam requires for "it" to perform. FYI.....@.510" lift the exhaust springs are already binding (becoming solid)....you need a minimum gap of .060" from coil bind + the pressure rate of the stock springs is marginally acceptable for the stock cam......IMHO.

Ok my bad.. Just talking from my personal experience and 5-6 other in my area ran the f-cam with stock springs for 5-6 years and ran great the whole time. Sometimes real life and what some book says differ. (for that cam springs are not REQUIRED just recommended in real life)

Yep....you're right..... change the cam for one with faster/longer duration and higher valve opening lobes than the stock cam, and keep the stock springs.....that is not important. Didn't know they measured pressure, installed height, pressure rate and coil bind height in those F-cam setups...... [sm=imsorry.gif]

Could you imagine how much better those f-cammies would have run with the proper valve train setup?........ but then again, no experience here.... ...... [sm=signs003.gif]
