Default Strange idle problem PLEASE HELP!!

On deceleration the rpm's hang at 1500rpm's for a few seconds then it drops down to idle. There is also slight backfiring. The car was running great and just started doing this all of the sudden. I thought it might be the IAC so I replaced it. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

I checked for a vac leak and can't find one. I still have to pull the codes but I did discover that when I unplugged the MAF the idle drops normally and there is no backfire. Bad MAF????

Replaced MAF. MORE money thrown away!! I tried to pull codes but i can't find the self test input wire. The grey connector was plugged into the cover that goes on both connectors. The wire is nowhere to be seen. What color is the wire . I am about toset this thing on fire and roll it off into a ditch!!
