Default headlight switch

hey guys my dims work but when i switch to my brights my headlights go out and i cant see at all. When i pull the turn signal IN towards me, for passing brights or w/e its called, my lights stay on. Im assuming the headlight switch and or the headlight switch connector is the culprit does this sound right?

Also, if this is the case, could this be draining my battery, if not ive got something else that draining my battery, and ive got no clue to what it is.

Unplug it and see if your battery drain goes away. Sounds like a bad switch. The have problems with the connection on the getting hot and corroding also.

Yea mine melted together. So i broke away the melted plastic and wired it directly. Worked fine ever since.

I know this is an old post, but I'm having the exact same problem. I've already replaced the headlight switch with a known good one. Maybe the multi function switch? Push forward no lights, pull back and brights on.
