Are you saying he wants to get 500rwhp on a naturally aspirated setup with a stock block?

He will need a Dart Block or a Boss 302 block, and about 7-8 thousand dollars (3 of which will be the supercharger) Its not feasible to make 500hp without a power adder, its possible, not feasible.

Way wrong on the motor. You can easy get 500hp from a 302 block, you just have to bore it out!

LOL!! i dont think so

well, i have been on the quest to run 10's for a couple years and it took me suspension work, a stroker motor with a good h/c/i and a 200 shot of nitrous.

but remember, you have some serious power if you can run 10's and the weaker parts will show up really fast, like the trans an rear end.
yes, I am speaking from experience lol

there are many 302s in the tens even some in the 9s all that are NA motors it can be done but it will get $$$ and will not be much of a street car. due to the power band of the motor. there are a few on smallblock ford tech I also have a friend that had one he was shiftting the thing at 8500 RPM. I think the guy that is on small block ford tech shifts his at 9200 rpm. NOnot one stock part on or in the motor.

Has anyone here heard of a 347?

A 347 done right can make an easy 500hp

First off you need a better block, I would go 347, maybe AFR heads, and a 200 shot. A 351 stroked to a 408 is another good choice.

He's still using the stock crankshaft in that 9.7s 306 cid baby....... obviously, balanced to death.
