Default Hole in Trick flow intake

I think I may have found my source of the vacuum leak. Has anyone else seen a hole here in their TF intake?

That looks like the jacket for the bolt.. Not actually a hole in the intake. That is the threaded sleeve for the bolt. At least it looks to be.

Cool, yeah I thought that it was just the jacket for the screw as well when I put it on, but now the more I look at it, I think it might be an issue. I If I had some carb cleaner, I could find out for sure

I have the street heat on my 91 and it has the same hole right under the drivers side front bolt.

Man can't really tell on mine but it does not appear to be a hole there. The motor was too hot for me to get my hand there and feel it. When it cools down I'll see if I can tell anything, but yeah, if you get carb cleaner and spray it at the hole with the engine running you should be able to tell if you have a leak. Don't let the motor get too hot while spraying it or you may "catchafire" LOL.

I sprayed some TB cleaner in the hole. I guess it is not important as it did not change the idle. Back to the drawling board I guess.

Thanks for the help.

Let me put everyones mind at ease. I have my intake freshly painted and not on the car yet, so I got some clear pics for you.

All T/F lower intakes have this hole.

And NO.... it doesn't cause a vacuum leak. It only goes into the boss for the intake bolt. So now you can all relax.
