Default Mass Air Conversion Kits

Ive been looking for a Mass Air Conversion Kit for my 87 5.0, currently i have that speed density crap.........obviously


I havent found a kit that has EVERYTHING................i keep getting the "Harness not included" or "computer not included"

i just heard that when your doing a bunch of mods with cam, intake, this and that etc..........in the long run, MAF is a whole lot easier for someone to retune/remaping the computer

i mean, i could be wrong...thats why im just askin around

every 5.0 ford person will tell you that MAF is so much better than SD, and will give the excuse that y ou can tune MAF, but you cant tune SD.

POPPYCOCK I say!

IF MAF was so damn good... why do so many cars come with SD.. stock? If MAF was so damn good.. why does it sometimes not work well with boost?

SD will always give BETTER resolution in the fuel/air metering than MAF because of the obvious differences in metering.

in a MAF car.. what happens when you have a vac leak? your car runs like crap, you get backfiring..etc
in a SD car, you get a vac leak.... oooo big friggin deal... your idle will be a little high..... WHAAAAA.. cry about it.

BOOST!... SD reads pressure and vac, so its MUCH easier to deal with boost itself.

where as with a MAF system.... hot/cold air can alter your car's readings on air mass and create a rich.lean condition...

If MAF was so good... why do GM guys LOVE SD so much....

if MAF was so good... why did FERRARI run an Alpha-N system for YEARS in their cars.... gotta tell you something.

Ill tell you why people say MAF is good... because ANY moron can tune it. you dont need to have much of a clue...

but SD will make better power, more consistant, and more reliable

MAF is only easier to tune the ECm, because nobody bothered to try to tune SD...

and i'll be running a 347 stroker with nitrous, and a VERY healthy cam.. on SD..
