Mustang, Horsepower, Oh my
Alright now that others have joined on this forum mabye I could get some better answers than I did before. I recently bought a 345 hp long block from ford racing. They did serveral tests on the motor and the best combo was <IMG src=uploads/T5superduty/619FZ_370hp_358_torque.JPG border="0">:</P>
Now does anyone agree or disagree with these numbers? And How much horsepower would this motor be increased by would you say by adding cobra 1.7 roller rockers, Hooker Super Competition Headers, and edelbrock rpm " AIR GAP" intake. Tests were done by separete dynos. Carcraft magazines and Fordracing</P><edited><editID>T5superduty</editID><editDate>37888.827025463</editDate></edited>

i personaly think the ford crate motors are a waste of money.there are so many companys out there that offer crate motors in many stages for a much better price.....take D&D motorsports for example....for 5k you can get a 331 stroker with 500 horse with forged internals, and the damm motor comes with a dyno sheet.but since you already bought it....change the cam to a more aggresive grind and go with single plain intake.just make sure your pistons will clear whatever cam you choose exspecialy if you go with 1.7 rockers.</P>

i agree that the other blocks are better than fords, but i bet this one is better than ur old one huh? lol i would suggest a b404 cam and the 1.7's the cam has an agressive lope and the rr's are good all around

I have the B-303 already if that is what you are saying, and I am using 1.7s. And I didnt have 5 grand to drop into the motor alone. This motor wasnt even $3000. I bought it from ford for like $2896 total. The guy gave me alittle deal. Its suppose to be like $2999 The motor I had in it before wasnt even a 302 HO it was a 302 out of like a 84 wagon. <edited><editID>T5superduty</editID><editDate>37891.6549537037</editDate></edited>
