Default Buying a 5.0

Hey everyone, I just joined theses forums and I am looking to buy a nice 1989 or 1990 5spd GT. I was wondering if you guys could help me out. So far my goal is just pretty low 14's at first. I was wondering what type of mods I would have to do in order to achieve this 1/4 time. So far as mods go I was thinking:

BBK 70mm TB, BBK High Flow H-Pipes, BBK Cold Air Intake, Flowmaster Exhaust, 28oz. Flywheel, MSD Ignition, Headers, Short Shifter, Chip, Underdrive Pulleys, 3.55 Rear End, and Goodyear Eagle F1 255/45/16 tires.

Will the mod list I am thinking of get me a pretty low 14's in the 1/4? Also what type of headersdo you recommend. Also how much would it cost to convert to rear disc brakes instead of drums. Thanks for your help.

You're going to need some performance heads too so that your headers and exhaust will get max hp gains. I'm in Gurnee, lookin for a fox body 5.0, hopefully a 92, i heard those have the best engines.

88 is going to have speed-density instead of mass air.
I believe that most of the fox 5.0's from 89-93 had fairly similar engines. Was it 93 that they switched to hypereutectic pistons?
Anyway, go for an 89-92.

86 had a seriously weak engine for a 5.0, not as bad as the carb'd ones though

Hatch is the way to go imo, notches are just plain ugly to me (stock that is)

Im in the market too, **** prices are gonna go up with all these ppl wanting them all of a sudden
